Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your BBright account, developed by BBright, Cairo, and what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account right here, from inside the app, or by asking us.
Delete on this page
If you sign in with a WhatsApp number or an email address, you can delete your account below. We send a one-time code to that number or address to confirm the account is yours. Your account is deleted only after you enter the correct code; nothing changes otherwise.
Enter the WhatsApp number or email address you sign in with. We'll send it a 4-digit code to confirm the account is yours.
Delete from the app
Teachers, students and parents can all delete their own account from the BBright app:
Open the BBright app and sign in.
Go to the Settings tab.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This cannot be undone. If you want to use BBright again later, you will need to create a new account.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email support@bbrightapp.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". Include your name and, if you know it, your BBright username.
We may ask you to confirm the request so that no one can delete an account that is not theirs. We complete verified requests within 30 days and reply to confirm once your account has been deleted.
Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently delete:
Your account and sign-in details, including linked Google, Apple or Facebook sign-ins.
Your profile: name, username, gender and profile photo.
Your group memberships, followers and parent–student links.
Your direct, group and classroom messages.
Files you uploaded to groups.
Your activity answers, scores and progress.
Data that is kept
A small amount of information is kept after deletion, without being linked to you:
Curriculum content a teacher created (units, lessons and questions) stays available to other teachers and students who use it, but is no longer attributed to the deleted account.
Reports you made about abusive messages are kept so that we can continue to act on them, but no longer identify you as the reporter.
We may also keep information where we have a legal obligation to do so, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The AI that writes the homework, marks it, explains it to the student and keeps the parents in the loop, for every group a teacher runs.
Signed up with Google, Apple or Facebook
If you created your account with Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in, delete it from the app using the steps above, or email us as described below. Entering that account's email address on this page may also work, but if no code arrives, use one of these two options.
